Rich grew the Europe and Asia sales and origination business on his return to London as well as leading global metals sales and establishing an institutional coverage team for hedge funds, asset managers and retail investors. He combined these experiences to run the global commodities trading business that included physical and financial commodities across agriculture, energy, metals, environmental finance, structured credit, investor products and complex derivatives backed by quantitative fundamental analysis and research.

Rich drove near-shore and graduate recruitment for commodities, was FCA regulated as a CF29 (significant management function) and gained valuable regulatory experience during the restructure of parts of the business inside the Non-Core Operations Unit.  Throughout his time at Deutsche, Rich represented FX and later Commodities in Global Markets Electronic Trading initiatives and drove improvements in technology in the business.  After taking the Fintech - Future Commerce Certificate from MIT, became the Chief Financial Officer for Beacon Platform, a NY based growth fintech offering next generation quant technology, elastic cloud infrastructure, and front office applications.

​Rich holds an MA in Mathematics and Management Studies from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA and CGMA).  Rich has non-executive director and trustee experience in a range of international and highly regulated entities and has worked with law firms on commodities matters many times in the past decade.
